Pelabuahanratu beach is a tourist beach in coast of the Indian
ocean in the south of west Java. The location is about 60 km southwardly from
Sukabumi city.
This beach
famous by very strong waves and therefore very dangerous for swimmer. The
topography form combination from the steep and sloping beaches, steep
cliffs, waves, and
forest nature reserve.
The beach
besides famous by very strong waves, Pelabuhanratu beach also famous by the
most people as the beach with mystical story. Maybe, because the famous
mystical story about Nyi Roro Kidul as the south beach queen. Apart from the
mystical story, Pelabuhanratu beach is a beautiful beach and filled with the
charm.
If we use the
Private transportation for go to Pelabuhanratu beach, we have two choice route.
The first route is through by Cikidang alternative road, and the second route
is through by the general road to Pelabuhanratu.
If we choose the
first route through by Cikidang alternative road,the spent time is short and
fast, so that we can save the trip time. But, the track in this route is very
difficult road, because the road is sepertine and we can find the ravine in the
left and right side. So if we choose this route, we must be a good and
experience driver. But, the view in this route is very amazing. We can see tea
and palm oil garden. And if we choose the second route, the road is very
crowded and the spent time is more long from the first route, even we can get
caught up in the traffic jam. But, the track in this route is more easy from
the first route.
If we use the
public transportation, we can only use bus. We can use bus from terminal in
Sukabumi city, with the cost is Rp
20.000 until the terminal in Pelabuhanratu. And to go to the beach we can use the
public transportation or walking.
When arrive in
the Pelabuhanratu area, we must pay the entrance fee or levy charges to enter
the beach. The detail of the entarance fee ar levy charges are :

When arrive in the beach, we can plays with the water sea and
the sand beach, and we can enjoyed with the beautiful coral, sound waves, and
the sunset in the afternoon. And if we want to spend the night we don’t to
confused, because there are a lot of hotel and lodging available. Besides spend
the night in Samudra Beach Hotel, we can rent a house in the edge of beach. The
cost for the rent a house in the edge of beach is about Rp 300.000/Night.
In the morning, we can enjoy with the Pelabuhanratu cozy beach
air, not cold and also not hot. Beside it, we can also plays with the water
while enjoy with the sea water in the morning. And if want to more fun for
plays with sea water, we can rent the little surfboard with the cost Rp 20.000.
Not Only playing sea water usually, in the Pelabuhanratu beach
we can also surfing in the nine location, that is in Batu Guram, Karang Sari,
Samudra Beach, Karanghaji, Indicator, Sunset Beach, Cimaja, Ombak Tujuh, and
Ujung Genteng. Every beach have a each characteristic.
If we feel bored plays with water sea, we can enjoy with the hot
springs in Cisolok, the distance is about 17 km from Pelabuhanratu beach.

about the day of fisherman. The goal from this ceremony is for the grateful to
God for the sustenance from the sea and to become be dissociated from the
disaster. Usually, in the ceremony of fisherman day there is buffalo head for
